Our Organization
Western Colorado Dragway is a unique facility. Our racer association rents the land from Mesa County. Improvements and season expenses are paid for via sponsorships, fundraisers, membership fees and gate fees. The track is governed by an elected board of directors.
The Western Colorado Drag Racing Association is a non-profit 501(c)4 corporation. All monies are either used to pay the year to year expenses or to improve the facility. It is only through this cooperative effort that we are able to offer NHRA drag racing in Western Colorado.

Pit Spaces & Rentals
It is not necessary to rent a pit space at WCD. We have plenty of free spaces available that are well groomed, well graveled and a reasonable distance from the staging lanes and starting line. The spaces available for annual rental are asphalt or concrete with some of the spaces that are closest in proximity to the staging lanes while others run along the return road.

NOTE: IF YOU WISH TO BE ADDED TO OUR WAITING LIST FOR A PAVED PIT SPACE, PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL TRACK MANAGER.
Pit Space Rules & Information
You must be a track member to rent a pit space. One space per member. Families with two or more members may rent two or more spaces.
Pit spaces are not transferable. We have people on a waiting list. If you do not wish to keep your pit space, please let us know and we will sell it to someone on the waiting list. You may not “sublet” or permanently “loan” your space to another racer.
Friday Night Use
Our Friday Street program will run until 11:00 pm. Overnight camping in your pit space will be allowed on Friday nights. If you are not part of the street cars you must wait until after 11:00 pm and then move into your space. Gates will be secured approximately 11:30 pm and will not be unlocked again until 8am on Saturday morning. If you are part of our Friday program and want to park in your reserved space you have to get there early! Friday nights pit spaces will not be reserved.
You may stay in the pits overnight on Saturday but must leave by 10am on Sunday morning.
Care of the Asphalt Pits
Our Tech booth has wooden blocks available to put under your trailer jack & floor jack. These help prevent damage to the asphalt.
The Tech booth also has floor dry available. If you have a fluid spill in your pit area we ask that you take some of the floor dry to soak it up and then sweep the floor dry up.
Do not paint numbers or names on your pit spaces.
